The life-size geese sculptures are a logical development of my geese paintings. Geese are dynamic animals with attitude. They can be quite aggressive and actually make pretty good “watchdogs.” We experienced this behaviour many times on the lake in Noordhoek, Cape Town. It was this aggressive nature and the dynamics of this particular hissing goose that inspired me.
