A big ele. This one has nice, heavy ivory and so is probably about 35 to 38 years old. It still has some good years of life and is just chilling. Occasionally, one sees these big tuskers and it is always a huge thrill. Crocodile Creek, part of Lake Kariba in Zimbabwe, is a favourite spot for us as a family. The best way to get there and the best way to view these magnificent creatures is from a small boat. One can get pretty close to the animal this way and the vantage point is perfect for photography and sketching.
