Water off a Goose’s Back

When a goose bathes, the scene is pretty explosive. As it somersaults and tumbles, its feet and wings flail about and the water cascades over its body in all directions. This spectacle fuses the elements of life and water in a single moment. When the goose settles again, the water quickly and easily slips off its waxy feathers leaving it looking cool, dry and unaffected – water off a goose’s back.

A goose with white plumage in beautiful light and the dynamics of realism versus abstraction automatically catch my attention and spark inspiration.
