It’s always nice to see cubs and a protective mother. She’s very watchful and although they are all drinking, she’s very attentive to what’s going on around her little family. One of the cubs is also pretty alert as to any danger that might be approaching. This piece is not just about lions drinking, it’s also about their behaviour while they drink and their close bond. At the same time, there’s an alertness that creates some tension.
